Three men are being held by the police over suspected participation in an attempted theft from a service station in Testaferrata Street, Msida.

District and mobile squad police went on the spot after a tip off at about 1.45 yesterday morning. They arrested a man who was near the service station, and another two from streets in the area.

Investigations showed that an attempt had been made to force open a machine at the service station. The police found several tools near the service station and under parked cars.

The men who were held are 34, 37 and 56 years old.
