Does the Nationalist Party really believe it is impressing us, by informing us every year that the PN will not be holding political activities over the Christmas period?
So what? What are we to understand – that political activities are something that are not desirable, and that we should not take part in them? If that is so, the PN should press the self-destruct button. All the PN does is play politics, which is their business after all, though very often it is unfortunately dirty politics that they play.
What kind of a warped mind does the PN leadership have, to imply that politics are dirty, or undesirable, when it is their raison d’etre? Why are politics not desirable over Christmas? Is it because the kind the PN practices are morally reprehensible?
Or are the PN leaders finding a pretext for taking a holiday from their work for the country (and for themselves) but do not have the honesty in them to admit it?
