The Local Councils Executive Secretaries Association expressed appreciation for the government’s decision, effective from December 7, to put the executive secretaries’ employment on an indefinite basis.

Thanking the government, the Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister, and all those involved in the work leading to the decision, the association said it wanted however to point out that it was itself which had insisted on these rights.

The association’s executive committee passed a special vote of thanks to association president Adrian Mifsud and John O’Dea who had taken the association’s case to the European institutions.
