Le Méridien St Julians’ kitchen team will again be supporting l-Istrina. Tomorrow from 9.30am to 1.30pm, the kitchen team will be displaying a giant Christmas log in Balluta Bay – 85 metres long!

1080 eggs, 50 kilograms of chocolate, 30 kilograms of sugar, 30 kilograms of flour, 30 litres of cream, 5 kilograms of icing sugar and 5 kilograms of marshmallows are to be used.

The entire kitchen team of Le Méridien St Julians’ will be helping in preparing this log and it is estimated that it will take almost 48 hours for this log to be made.

Join the kitchen team this Sunday and try out a piece of this giant log at just 25c per portion. A choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate is also available at the same price.

All proceeds will go to l-Istrina. Le Méridien St Julians will also be donating a number of vouchers including weekend breaks to l-Istrina which will be televised on 29 December on TVM, Net TV and One TV between noon and midnight.

If weather does not permit the Christmas log will be set up inside Le Méridien St Julians’ lobby (level 3).
