Generous Donations from the Malta Community Chest Fund

President Eddie Fenech Adami and Mrs Fenech Adami presented donations to various philanthropic associations and institututions, on behalf of the Community Chest Fund. The donations were in the form of financial assistance or in kind – such as beds and specialised equipment among others. In all the donations were worth €39,740/Lm17,059.

The 27 associations and institutions that benefited from the donations are: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (Family Support Group), Coeliac Association Malta, Dar Gilji Bojod, Daughters of the Sacred Heart (Christ the King Convent), Dominican Sisters (Victoria), Fatima House, Sorijiet Frangiskani tal-Qalb ta’ Gesu’ San Gwann, Pax et Bonum Convent Mosta, Good Shepherd Sisters San Gwann, Kummissjoni Emigranti u Refugjati Ghawdex, Loyola House, Maltese Society for the Transportation of the Sick to Lourdes, Parrocca Madonna tal-Karmnu Fleur-de-Lys, Parrocca Sant’Anna Wied il-Ghajn, Prison Fellowship Malta, Qalb ta’ Gesu’, Kummissjoni Pastorali Persuni b’Di¿abilita’, Richmond Foundation, SOS Malta, St. Catherine’s Home, St Dominic Home, STAND, Suret il-Bniedem, Ufficcju centrali ‘Ejjew Ghandi’, Angela House, The Friends (Gozo) and YMCA.

This year the Malta Community Chest fund distributed a total of €65,750 /Lm28,226 to philanthropic associations and institutions, while more than 30,000 individuals received the total of €1,086,289/Lm466,344, which means that this year the Malta Community Chest Fund distributed the total sum €1,152,038/ Lm494,570.

The President thanked the Maltese and Gozitans who always showed strong solidarity and generosity, by means of which the Malta Community Chest Fund can reach out to those in need. “These type of occasions demonstrate the Maltese people’s solidarity, characteristic of a people who care about others and want to help those who need it,” said the President.
