Talenti Theatrical Company presents a very funny, witty play with fast and well-timed comic action revolving around Jay who wants to leave his past behind and start a new life. Pertwee’s play Do not Disturb is translated by Tony Cassar Darien and directed by Zep Camilleri.
‘Laughing Wild’
18-20, 25-27 January 1-3 February at St James Cavalier, Valletta
MADC presents Christopher Durang’s celebrated satire of contemporary life with Denise Mullholland as the emotionally disturbed “Woman”, and Alan Montanaro as the spiritually confused “Man”. This hilarious, thought-provoking comedy touches on the Catholic Church, talk shows, sexuality, homosexuality, mental illness, the new age movement, AIDS, and tuna fish – in no particular order. Written in the 1980’s, Laughing Wild resonates strongly with today’s audiences as it illustrates the full-circle process of human empathy that can be felt between two very conflicted people. Laughing Wild is produced by MADC, with Denise Mulholland and Alan Montanaro. Directed by Polly March.
‘Sulari fuq Strada Stretta’
25-27 January at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta
Days before the Second World War, Joey plots the murder of the last remaining members of a Maltese aristocratic family to enhance business for prostitutes in Strada Stretta, by inheriting the top floor of an old palace in Valletta.

Another month of eclectic chamber music concerts at the increasingly popular venue of St Catherine of Italy church. From the romantic strains of Dvorak and Strauss to the evergreen string quartets of Joseph Haydn, January promises a concert to suit the likes of hard core classical music fan, or the enthusiastic new comer! ‘Performers’ Platform’

Meet the Composer - Joseph Haydn

The exhibition brings together a selection of mainly unpublished photo essays exploring a wide range of subjects. By focusing on only a handful of subjects the photographer seeks to bring forth the story of the people (and other animals) portrayed. His images have a strong humane character with a focus on individuals often captured within their very intimate settings.
