Following the decision by the Central Bank of Malta to reduce the central intervention rate by 25 basis points to four per cent, Bank of Valletta announced that, with effect from 1 January, it is also changing its Bank Base Rate to four per cent.
The bank said that, with the adoption of the euro on Tuesday and until further notice, it would be adopting the ECB Central Refinancing Rate as its base rate.
