Renaissance Productions Ltd has concluded negotiations with Juventus to secure the exclusive rights to represent the Juventus Soccer School (JSS) in the Maltese islands. The first Juventus Soccer School will be based at Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria, Gozo, directors Anton Tabone and Amabile Zammit announced.
The Juventus Soccer School will be officially launched by Marco Marchi, International Soccer Schools Manager at a special ceremony to be held on 12 January 2008 at Don Bosco Oratory.
A two-hour training session under the guidance of a Juventus Soccer University-certified coach for children aged 8-16 years, will precede to the opening ceremony. Two Juventus team players are also expected to be present.
Based on the success of Juventus’ club in Italian and international football (13 million fans in Italy, 43 million fans in Europe, 170 million fans worldwide), and together with the positive values that JSS attempt to instil in the kids that enrol, RPL directors are confident that the Juventus Soccer School experience in Malta and Gozo will be extremely successful and beneficial to all young footballers.
The values of the JSS mission statement are to communicate and represent Juventus in every activity, in and off the pitch thereby creating a unique Juventus experience; to protect children safety through the creation of an internal policy of “Child Protection”; to select and coach the staff to respect and promote the high standards of Juventus Soccer School in teaching methods and general behaviour; to create the best environment in which learning takes place: less exasperation, more fun; and to develop the technical characteristics of the players.
The Juventus Soccer School is organised in partnership with “Nike” – the world’s leading sports brand.
The curriculum
Every project undertaken by the JSS follows a specific technical sports programme based on the JSS model. The curriculum is developed by the Juventus University ‘Centro Studi’ so as to respond to the specific technical and social requirements of each project. Juventus own the first Soccer University in the world. Courses at the University are addressed to coaches with a coaching certificate and to those who have a degree in physical education.
University courses are held at the Juventus Training Centre in Vinovo (Turin) but could also be held in the respective country where the Juventus Soccer School is based.
Juventus Summer Camps
Juventus have been successfully organising Juventus Summer Camps in a number of different countries whereby courses are organised over a 2-week period during vacation time – generally in June/July/August.
Boys and girls aged 8-16 years attend these camps accompanied by their respective families who take the opportunity to take a vacation during the time the kids are attending the Juventus Soccer School.
