Malta Independent Friday, 4 January 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

Air Malta would like to inform its customers travelling on its services to Tripoli and Benghazi with the new regulations issued by the Libyan authorities, concerning travel formalities in order to enter the Libyan Territory for tourism purposes.

As from Monday, passengers travelling to Libya are required to possess a minimum of USD 1000 or its equivalent in transferable foreign currency. This is applicable to all persons whether travelling as individuals or in groups through companies and/or partnerships. This is also applicable to all nationalities which are exempt from the condition to obtain a prior-entry visa.
