Pharmacy Robbed

A hold-up took place at a pharmacy in Lija yesterday afternoon, police said.

A man armed with a pointed instrument entered the pharmacy at around 5.10pm, demanded the employee to hand over the money and fled the scene.

Police said the employee, who was alone in the shop when the robbery took place, was not injured.

The amount of money stolen did not exceed e400.

Duty Magistrate Dr G. Grixti appointed various experts to help conduct an inquiry.

Police investigations are still under way.
