The tragic death of a worker at the workplace justifies the calls that have been made by the General Workers Union for a national conference to identify ways that could be implemented to reduce danger, the union said in a statement.
The GWU expressed its solidarity with the worker’s family, saying that the country should not remain helpless in front of such tragedies, but should work to make workplaces safer.
The conference, to be held on 25 January, should lead to the implementation of measures to reduce risks as much as possible, the union said.
