Sliema Wanderers have signed three new players in their efforts to strengthen to be able to challenge seriously for the honours. They are Brazilian Andre Da Silva, Branko Nisevic and Julian Vella.
Mesko Milanjotovic has been released by the Blues, thus making it possible for the club to sign a third foreigner. He is the well known Brazilian Andre Da Silva, who has already played in Malta for Floriana, Tarxien, Marsaxlokk and Hibernians.
Da Silva will be available to play in today’s match against Floriana as his papers were deposited at the MFA yesterday, in time for this important clash.
Sliema have also signed defender Branko Nisevic who is now considered a Maltese player for all intents and purposes, as he qualifies in the amended rule before of 1 February 2004.
Julian Vella, however, is still unavailable as his clearance is only expected to arrive next week. However, he has already started training with the club.
All three players have signed for this season and following season.
