Malta Independent Sunday, 6 January 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 15 years ago

Hola! students and teachers from Ninu Cremona Lyceum Complex and Kan. Agius De Soldanis joined forces and organised a cultural tour to Barcelona for students from 8 to 15 December.

The group was made up of 49 people – 40 from Ninu Cremona Lyceum and nine from Kan. Agius De Soldanis.

The weeklong experience was great for all, especially for those students who were visiting another country for the first time. The students had the opportunity to use the native language and could thus familiarise themselves more with the Spanish language and culture.

During this week the group visited many places of interest both culturally and as tourists. The main places of interest visited were the Spanish Village, Barcelona Stadium, Sagrada Familia, Gothic Barcelona, the zoo, the aquarium and more. They also visited Girona and Montserrat.

The last night was special for the group since they watched a good Flamenco show and enjoyed a buffet of Spanish food.
