From Mr R. Vassallo
Caring spouses, healthy progeny, enduring marriages. All this sounds like a dream these days. For the dream to continue one must sleep on.
And so she does. To the consternation of they who knew her, her short happy life was capped opportunistically. What now? One is never too sure.
Dolly’s eternal smile signalled much love and joy. Was it a naughty winking of fate’s eye? Certainly a glimmer – indeed a beacon of hope that there is much more to life here and after, than chemistry now gone right, but then awry.
As a common philosopher friend would tell Dolly and me “for dreams to come true one must wake up first”. And up she may wake, more than ever now, with that smile eternal.
