A four-woman committee has been appointed by Archbishop Mgr Paul Cremona, OP, to organise activities marking the 20th anniversary of John Paul II’s apostolic letter Mulieris dignitatem, dealing with woman’s dignity and vocation.
It is chaired by Marcelle Delicata and also includes Vicky Camilleri, Christine Galea and Louise Laferla.
The aim is to convey to the faithful the Church’s social teachings about woman and to encourage dialogue about the subject. One of the committee’s first commitments is representative participation in an international conference being held in Rome in February by the pontifical council for lay people.
