Parish priests will be attending a live-in with Archbishop MGR Paul Cremona OP between today and Thursday at the Archbishop’s Seminary at Tal -Virtu’. The theme for this year is “We were all baptised in one spirit – the parish priest and laymen.”

On the first day of the live-in, the discussion will focus on what the parish priests think of laymen, the Maltese parish in the next 20 years, the theology of the future parish, what the laymen’s role should be within the parish, and what the parish priest’s main work is going to consist of in the next 20 years.

From the second day onwards, Mgr Archbishop Paul Cremona OP, will talk about his vision of the future parish, and the part baptised laymen should play. The Archbishop’s presentation will be followed by discussions and workshops.

On the third day of the live-in, the general meeting of the Parish Priests’ College shall take place.
