Yesterday was the second day of the Juventus training camp in Malta.

The squad underwent two training sessions at the Ta’ Qali training grounds, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Both sessions were closed to the public but the afternoon session saw the Italian giants making a concession, allowing photographers and cameramen to take pictures.

What impressed the Italian side most was the brilliant sunshine which greeted them at Ta’ Qali. The temperature there was 18 C, that is, 15 degrees fewer than they are accustomed to at Turin, in Italy.

As was expected, several fans went to Ta’ Qali to get a glimpse of their favourites and several were those who made the most of the police barriers near the Stadium to turn them into ladders to climb high and watch proceedings from above the concrete fencing.

Yesterday evening, the whole Juventus squad attended a special and unique show at the Sky Club in St Julian’s where hundreds of the club’s fans were present and had the opportunity of meeting their favourites face to face.

Today, Juventus will again be training at Ta’ Qali in the morning and in the afternoon. The latter session, however, will be open to the public which will be able to watch proceedings from the Enclosure against payment of e5. Tickets will be available at Ta’ Qali Stadium’s ticket booths and entrance will be through West Side A and C (Enclosure).

The highlight of their visit will be tomorrow when they meet local Premier League leaders Valletta in a friendly match at the national stadium, starting at 8pm
