Two brothers, Sandro and Carmel Rotin, yesterday filed a judicial protest before the First Hall of Civil Court after they were barred from accessing their field by the owner of the adjacent land.
The brothers own a field, which is adjacent to a piece of land on which lies the fireworks factory of the La Stella Band Club of Gudja.
The two found that the lock to the gate leading to the club’s land was changed. They were told by the club’s representative that they could no longer gain access to their field on the limits of Has-Saptan through the club’s land. The man blamed new regulations and police checks for not letting them in.
The Rotin brothers said the still had the right to access their field through the club’s land as the club had reached an agreement with their father that covered them. They said they would initiate court proceedings against the club if they are not granted access within a week.
The application was signed by Dr Joseph Mifsud.
