A 26-year-old man pleaded not guilty yesterday to stealing seven gas cylinders from Santa Lucija and Fgura on three instances in July.

Jeoffrey Grech, from Vittoriosa, was also charged before Magistrate Edwina Grima causing less than e116.47 (Lm50) in damages during one such theft and causing damage during the course of another. He was also charged with dealing in stolen goods.

Police Inspector Jesmond Borg prosecuted while lawyers Andy Ellul and Vincent Micallef appeared for the accused.
