The Department of Information will be publishing all the Acts of Parliament, legal notices and bye-laws issued in 2007 on compact disc.

Previously, main and subsidiary legislation was annually published in April, usually consisting of about 16 printed books containing over 10,000 pages and totally costing more than e69.88 (Lm30).

These are now being compressed into two CDs instead, one of them containing 32 Acts passed by Parliament in 2007 and the other one featuring all the 448 legal notices and five local council bye-laws issued during the year. The set of CDs will be on sale at the beginning of February.

The price for both CDs will be e27.95 (Lm12), and any one CD can be bought separately for e13.98 (Lm6). However, as a pre-launch offer, those who book the set of two CDs by the end of January will be able to purchase them for e19.80 (Lm8.50). All those interested are invited to secure booking by forwarding payment addressed to the Director of Information, 3, Castille Place, Valletta.

It is to be pointed out that main and subsidiary legislation is no longer being published in print format.
