MFA Suspends five Premier League players

The MFA Disciplinary Commission yesterday handed one-match bans to five Premier League players.

These are Floriana’s Darko Krsteski, Evano Briffa of Hamrun Spartans and Quilin Refalo of Pieta Hotspurs as well as Sliema Wanderers’ Roderick Briffa and Valletta’s captain Gilbert Agius.

The first four will miss their team’s matches this weekend while Gilbert Agius will miss an important clash with Hamrun Spartans on Saturday 19 January.

In Division One, Uchenna Anyanwu (Dingli S), Kevin Cassar (Marsa), Joseph Chetcuti (Qormi), Kevin Mifsud (Senglea A), Clayton Micallef (St Patrick) and David Gauci (Vittoriosa S) were all suspended one match each.
