The Labour Party has criticised an initiative that thousands of families are benefiting from, the Nationalist Party said in a statement. This time, the MLP has spoken against the giving out of the children’s allowance in one cheque, in advance.

In reply to a statement issued by the MLP, the PN said that the MLP had voted against such an initiative when the budget was being discussed in Parliament. Now Labour MP Karl Chircop, had criticised the fact that families, last week received the allowance.

With such criticism, the PN said, Labour was showing it was against initiatives to improve the quality of life of Maltese families and children.
