Matthew Asciak yesterday reached the quarter finals of a tournament in Austria.

Asciak who is sponsored by Lufthansa played two matches yesterday.

In the morning Asciak played a great match beating Guerry of Germany in two straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

In the second game in the afternoon he eliminated another German opponent. He defeated Heller in three sets, again playing some brilliant tennis.

Heller is considered one of the brightest prospects of German tennis and some weeks ago lost in three sets against Ralph Ragus who is ranked 80 in the world rankings.

Matthew Asciak lost the first set 6-4, but Asciak made a remarkable come-back winning the next two sets 6-3, 6-1.

Matthew Asciak will be in action again today.
