Thanks to the Atheneum Spa, on the Friday before Christmas, and to the cheer of the children and Sisters, Father Christmas delivered over 100 presents to the needy children of the Ursuline Crèche. Father Christmas then took all the children for rides up and down the street in his horse and carriage.

The management and staff of the Athenaeum Spa would like to thank, from the bottom of their hearts, all the kind gifts that were donated to make Christmas all the more special for the children. “We were not expecting this kind of response to our initiatives and we were so overwhelmed with humility when we were able to deliver such a wonderful surprise for the children of the crèche. I wanted to cry.” said Trevor Diacono, manager of the Spa.

All the people who donated gifts were given €11.65 (Lm5) vouchers complementary for use at the Athenaeum Spa.

Also one lucky winner, Isabella Rossi of Sliema, won the Grand Prize of a six month Pulse Membership.

Pulse is the Athenaeum's newly equipped, state-of-the-art gymnasium. “I have never really won anything and was really not expecting to,” said Mrs Rossi, “but this is great as I can start my New Year's Resolution of getting fit and healthy. The gym looks fantastic and I plan on spending a lot of time there!”
