A 34-year-old man from Fgura died yesterday morning from what initially appears to be a drug overdose.

The police said that at around 10.40am they were informed that a man was lying unconscious on the floor in his private residence in Triq Antonia Maria Cumbo in Fgura. Paramedics gave him first aid assistance before he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where further attempts were made to bring him back to consciousness, but he died shortly after.

The police said they found materials connected with drug abuse in his residence.
