The Nationalist Party youth movement MZPN said the agreement the government has concluded with the European research organisation CERN would open wide opportunities for young Maltese in research and innovation.

It would also lead to achieving the goal the government set for itself of making Malta a centre of excellence in informatics and tertiary education by 2015.

The agreement, it added, was another confirmation of the government’s commitment in science and technology. Together with the SmartCity project would highlight Malta’s place on the investment map in research and innovation.
