Two Men charged with stealing from MIA

Two men were yesterday charged with stealing a number of goods from the Malta International Airport.

Frankie Farrugia, 26, from Ghaxaq, and Mark Magro, 31, from Luqa, pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Doreen Clarke to stealing goods worth less than e2,329 (Lm1,000) from MIA on Sunday.

Magistrate Clarke granted them bail against a deposit of e500 and a personal guarantee of e1,000.

Police Inspector Jason Agius prosecuted. Dr Jose Herrera appeared for Mr Magro while Dr Franco Debono and Dr Marion Camilleri were defence counsel to Mr Farrugia.
