The Malta Table Football Sports Association is to hold its second competition on 20 January.
This event is being held to launch the official programme for the 2008 competitions. This is to be the first local competition for this year which will involve only local players for both established and freshly launched players.
This competition will be held at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in Hamrun and games start at 8.30am. The organisers will be hosting various groups. After the group stages, knock out matches will be played until the winner will stand highest on the podium.
A week later, on 26 and 27 January, the MTFSA will host yet another international competition. On Saturday 26 January, the Teams’ Grand Prix will be organised. Last year 12 teams took part and for this year’s event, a good number of participants is expected. The Greeks of Athens Falcons won last year’s competition after beating Belgians AS Hennuyer captained by the Maltese Hansel Mallia.
On Sunday 27 January, the international Open for individuals will be organised. The MTFSA encourages all Table Football fans to attend and to join in to compete for these upcoming events.
