Chinese cultural presentations, including acrobatics, traditional Chinese opera and Chinese music will be performed at the end of the month to celebrate the Chinese spring festival. They are being given by the China Cultural Centre and Valletta local council, with the support of the Ministry for Tourism and Culture and the Embassy of China.

They start on 29 January at the Manoel Theatre, where there will be acrobatics and opera. On the morning of 30 January there will be a parade in Republic Street, Valletta, the opening performance being held in Freedom Square at 10.30, and in the evening of the same day there will be a Chinese New Year concert at the Manoel.

An exhibition of Chinese kites will be held at St James Cavalier Centre, between 15 January and 15 February.
