A 26-year-old man, who is currently residing at the Corradino Corrective Facility, pleaded guilty to the charge of heroin possession.

Saviour Cachia from Cospicua, pleaded guilty before presiding magistrate Lawrence Quintano, to the charge of possessing heroin while he was an inmate at the Corradino Corrective Facility on 28 May, and the month before.

However, defence lawyer Owen Bonnici said that Cachia will not file a guilty plea for the charge of taking drugs into prison.

Police Inspector Nezren Grixti prosecuted, and Dr Owen Bonnici appeared for Cachia.
