Eventful Months for Premier School of Football

Malta Independent Thursday, 17 January 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

The last two months of 2007 proved to be two eventful months for Premier School of Football. Apart from the regular training sessions, the school also organised three social activities for all the boys and their parents.

The first activity was an informative talk on Sports Psychology. Ms Adele Muscat, a qualified expert in the field, delivered a slide-presentation on the subject and answered questions put forward by the parents present. At the end of Ms Muscat’s presentation, the school’s organisers took the opportunity to present their main speaker with a memento to thank her for her participation.

The second activity took place at Vittoriosa where the boys together with their coaches and some accompanying parents visited the Malta at War museum. Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna organized a tour around the war shelters found in the museum followed by the viewing of the original Malta GC wartime documentary commissioned by King George VI during the war. This outing, which was both interesting and enjoyable, was well attended and appreciated by both the boys and their parents.

A children’s Christmas Party was the latest activity organised. The event, which took place at the Razzett tal-Hbiberija, started off with a get-together for the boys where each boy was given his Christmas present. For the occasion the school invited national team player Andre Schembri. In a similar activity two years ago, Andre’ had told the boys that his dream was to play professional football abroad.

Boys showing an interest to attend the school for the term commencing in February are presently being invited to attend a training session free of charge. Parents wishing to register their child are to call on mobile numbers 9947-0423 or 9945-9607 for further details.
