After a break of almost four weeks, during which time the Association hosted a number of visiting college teams from the UK, the league recommenced with two encounters in which Ta' Soldi Rabat beat Pasta Poiatti Qormi 3-2 and Britannia Tours overcame Sliema Hotstick BDO 3-1.

From the very first whistle Rabat went all out on the attack and by the 6th minute they were already one up. A well taken free hit by Kevin Micallef into the Qormi defending area, caught the Qormi defence napping; in popped Charlot Antonelli who had no difficulty in beating Ramon Chircop in goal.

This setback seemed to serve as a wake up call for Qormi as from then on we witnessed a fine display by them.

On the 14th, an excellent move between Philip Magri and Jonathan Williams saw the latter setting up Gareth Dimech with a precise pass inside the Rabat area, to notch the equaliser.

On the 19th, Stephen Tanti won a ball in midfield, worked his way towards the Rabat goal, squared the ball to Jonathan Williams who immediately passed the ball to Ludwig Xuereb inside the D, however Azzopardi in goal left his charge to effect a well timed block.

However Qormi were not to be denied a second goal and on the 26th from a well drilled short corner Ludwig Xuereb made it 2-0.

On the 31st, Qormi almost went 3-1 up had it not been for Matthew Buhagiar who cleared off the line.

In the second half Qormi seemed to have gone back to slumberland, while Rabat having reorganised their formation took command of midfield, and by the 43rd minute they managed to level the score when a well taken free hit saw Kenneth Debattista's push towards goal deflected past Chircop by Charlot Antonelli.

On the 46th, Rabat went ahead when Shawn Falzon saw his first attempt at goal well saved by Chircop and from the resultant rebound the same Falzon managed to squeeze the ball home from an acute angle.

At this stage Qormi were deflated and contrary to the first half they could not muster any reaction, except for a short corner action on the 59th with Azzopardi in goal saving well.

The rest of the match was well controlled by Rabat and did not offer any further emotions.

For this match White Hart introduced two new signings; Sandro Bartolo transferred from Sliema Hotsticks and Anthony Roberts an Australian. On the other hand Sliema Hotsticks had Keith Vella and Keith Scicluna missing from their squad.

The game started on an explosive note with the first chance at goal, on the first minute, falling to Hotsticks' Simon Baldacchino who miscued his hit when well positioned.

Play was kept at a fast pace with the ball moving from one end of the pitch to the other. White Hart won their first Short Corner on the 10th minute with Luke Mallia in goal saving a stinger from Simon Agius.

On the 14th Sliema won their first Short Corner from which Liam Pace produced a bullet like hit that beat goalkeeper Galea all ends up to open the score.

White Hart's reaction was somewhat confused and Galea in goal was constantly being tested by the Sliema forwards. From one of these attacks a providential clearance off the line by Simon Agius saved the day for White Hart, and somewhat triggered off the White Hart side.

Between the 33rd and 34th minute they won two consecutive Short Corners with the first being well saved by Mallia and from the second one White Hart equalised, when Anthony Roberts set up Carl Tua who with a well taken push beat Mallia.

During the second half, White Hart, after conceding a Short Corner on the 36th minute took control of the proceedings and after missing out on a number of Short Corners could have gone in the lead on the 55th when following some good teamwork by David Agius and Luke Borg Costanzi, Giancarlo Torpiano all alone in front of goal hit the side rigging. On the 59th David Agius with a long penetrating pass, set up Carl Tua who, all alone in front of goal, gave no chance to the onrushing Mallia, to make the score 2 – 1.

Barely had a minute gone by when, in another attack, Luke Borg Constanzi saw his pass to the unmarked Tua, being kicked in by Dylan Lentini for an unfortunate own goal for the despair to the Sliema defence and the joy of the White Hart players.

Hotsticks did manage a few attacks after this setback but all their efforts were well controlled, especially by an ever improving Alan Vella.
