Suspended Sentence for stealing electronic equipment

A man from Dingli was jailed for 18 months suspended for three years after he pleaded guilty to stealing electronic equipment.

Paul Farrugia, 27, pleaded guilty before presiding magistrate Saviour Demicoli, to stealing memory cards, 20 DVD writers, three digital cameras, three mobile phones, three MP3 players to the detriment of United Parcel Ltd.

In handing down his judgment, magistrate Demicoli noted Farrugia’s criminal record and that he returned all the stolen items. As a result, he jailed Farrugia for 18 months suspended for three years.
