Yes, it was another proud moment for Malta.
I am referring to the official festivities marking the entry into the eurozone, which we celebrated last Saturday.
Credit must first go to the National Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Mro Michael Laus, and tenor Joseph Calleja and soprano Miriam Gauci for their excellent performance. I had no doubts that they would have given us a concert to remember.
But most of all I felt proud to have so many foreign dignitaries praising Malta for its endeavours to succeed. We heard Prime Ministers telling us that we are doing well, and some even went as far as saying that they would like to follow our example.
Tiny Malta can succeed. And we have made it. Let us not lose what we have by voting for a party that wanted to keep us away from all this.
Well done to all those involved in the organisation of the concert, and also for the coverage given by the national television station. It was worth watching.
