So, Philip Pace (Drinking water at Mater Dei TMID, 16 January) thinks that because his mate happens to be a regular visitor, he could criticise the health services at Mater Dei because he was not served water with his pills.

Next time he will possibly complain that no red carpet was laid on to greet him and his friend and no dignitaries were there to greet them.

Some people’s expectations know no limits.

Perhaps Philip Pace should write to Her Majesty and also to Gordon Brown, Alan Johnson, Dawn Primarolo and possibly others responsible for health services (as his friend apparently understands English) to ensure that actually ‘water is served with pills’.

And maybe in a crystal glass too!
