A new, bagged snack is vying for space in UK pubs, with the launch of a cheese flavoured baked snack called Tastees.
Made in Malta, the rice snack is already popular in Australia, New Zealand and the Far East, where it sells as Twistees. Tastees is baked rather than fried, making it a healthier option, and is gluten free.
John Roblings, managing director of Tastees UK, already imports Maltese beer Cisk into the UK. He said: “I’ve had requests from bars across the country about stocking the product.”
He added that there are plans to add further flavours to the range.
