WasteServ has encouraged us to squash plastic bottles before we empty them into the skips available at the Civic Amenity Sites. Well and good, I agree.

WasteServ should also do its part though. There are times when I go to throw away unwanted items and find out that I cannot do so because the skips are full.

I am not the type who leaves waste on the pavement if the skips are full, so I end up leaving it in the car until I find a CAS skip which is not full.

I therefore urge WasteServ to empty its skips as regularly as possible. It is only by giving a good example that the people will follow.
