Hamrun Spartans and Malta Under 21 midfielder Ryan Fenech has pledged his future to his club.

Yesterday, in a statement on the club's official website, the Spartans quashed all rumours that the talented youngster would be joining Valletta, if not by the end of this month, then at the end of the season.

The statement said that after meeting the Spartans committee last week, Fenech had decided to stay on at Hamrun.

Commenting on rumours that Valletta and Hamrun were negotiating the transfer of the player, the Spartans said there were never any negotiations as the person who had met Valletta was only acting in his capacity of father of the player, and not on behalf of Hamrun Spartans.
