The Archbishop, Mgr Pawl Cremona, OP, turns 62 today.
He will be celebrating a Thanksgiving Mass at St John’s
Co-Cathedral at 6pm, which will also be marking the first anniversary of his episcopal ordination on 26 January last year.
Mgr Cremona had his primary education at the Montessori school in Valletta and his secondary education at the Lyceum in Hamrun. He joined the Dominicans in 1962 and studied philosophy and theology at the College of St Thomas Aquinas in Rabat, being ordained priest in 1969.
In 1981 Mgr Cremona was elected provincial of the Maltese Dominican province, an office he held for two four-year terms.
Mgr Cremona is the author of several books dealing with theology and spirituality.
