Our Prime Minister said “Judge me by what I do and not by what I say”. What the common people care about is how they are being financially affected.

In the last budget it was announced that ex-servicemen were to gain the sum of Lm200 when their retirement pension is worked out by the social security department.

When announced it sounded like every person who is in possession of more than one pension is to receive the Lm200, but it is not the case. Many weeks have gone by since budget day and we are still in the dark as to who is qualifying and who is not. Are these people really expecting our votes in the coming elections when we are being treated like fools?

Why it is taking the department concerned so long to explain this situation?
