Education Minister Louis Galea has protested with the state-funded Public Broadcasting Services for ignoring a news conference he gave on Monday, which he said was of interest for all parents but was not reported in the PBS news bulletins.
Dr Galea said PBS was informed about the news conference well in time. The subject related to the Labour Party’s proposal for a reception class between kindergarten and the first year of primary school, which, he said, would mean that all children would be repeating a year, whether or not they needed to.
PBS had on various occasions reported MLP speakers on the subject but had failed to cover the analysis made by him, Dr Galea said.
