A Siggiewi man was placed under probation for two years after he was found guilty to stealing a number of goods from a shop in which he was an employee.

John Fenech, 35, was found guilty to stealing an iPod, an Mp3 player a digital camera and two Dior sunglasses.

The goods, which were worth less than €2,329.37 (Lm1,000), were stolen from United Parcel Service of Luqa.

Magistrate Edwina Grima presided over the case while Police Inspectors Anthony Portelli and Stephen Mallia prosecuted. Dr Marion Camilleri appeared for the accused.
