Edward Sammut and Chris Aquilina dominated the Autocross events at last Sunday’s meeting organized by the Assocjazzjoni Sport Muturi at its Ta- Qali track.
Thirty competitors took part in this event which formed part of the Pasta Poiatti Championship.
Sammut, in a Honda Civic, emerged winner with Mark Galea, in an Alfa Sud, finishing second.
In this race, Karmenu Mifsud, had his Hillman Imp overturning, although eventually continuing the race to finish fifth while John Bonavia was unlucky to see his car facing problems at a time when he was in the lead.
The B race was won by Chris Aquilina in his Open, followed by Manuel Azzopardi in an Escort.
In the Bangers section, Dennis Vassallo (No. 19) was the winner with Tony Spiteri (No. 90) finishing second.
