Three properties were yesterday transferred to three local councils at a signing ceremony at the Ministry of Justice and the Interior. The councils involved are those of Msida, Fontana and Sta Lucija.

At Msida the property is land in Pjazza Menqa which will be used as the local council's administrative seat, to include a health care centre. The property handed to Fontana council is in Triq il-Mulejja and consists of a playing field, two rooms administered by the police and public toilets. It will be developed into a civic centre.

Sta Lucija signed for the playing field area in Triq Ines, which has been split into two sites. The council will develop a community centre in one of them, the other will see the development of a five-a-side football pitch.
