We refer to Anthony Busutill’s letter Price of medicines (TMID, 30 January)

We wish to clarify that for the past years Daonil was only available in Malta in a pack size of 28 tablets selling at e6.64 (Lm2.85).

On 14 November 2007 we changed to a pack of 20 tablets selling for e2.94 (Lm1.26) Therefore there was a pro rata price reduction of 38 per cent . This was possible due to a change in the source of supply.
