The Malta Shooting Sport Federation opened its 100th Anniversarary Celebrations with a Thanksgiving Mass held at the Attard Parish Church on Friday evening.

The MSSF chose this church because the origins of the federation date back to 1908 and it was in Attard that it had its first organised range.

Among the distinguished guests were The ISSF Secratary General Dr.Horste Schreiber, The European Shooting Confederation President Unni Nicolayson, MOC President Mr Justice Lino Farrugia Sacco and Minister Censu Galea who all congratulated the MSSF for its achievments.

Afterwards, a reception was held to launch the MSSF History Book 1908-2008, which also included a prestigious message from International Olympic Committee President: Jacques Rogge and also from the above mentioned guests.
