As part of Microsoft Malta Ltd’s initiative to develop students’ IT potential, Microsoft Malta Ltd donated twenty Microsoft Student packages including Encarta to be used in Church schools in Malta. The software donation was presented to Mr Ivan Buttigieg from the Archbishop’s Curia by Mr Nick Tonna, Account Manager at Microsoft Malta Ltd.

These packages are designed to provide students with assistance on Microsoft Office applications, thus adding further value to the Microsoft Office Package.

“Developing students’ potential from an early age is a sure ticket to better career prospects in life,” said Mr Tonna. “Microsoft is aware that the more students are conversant with the latest software, the more they can benefit and improve, not only their abilities, but also their self-esteem. This initiative is also intended to keep developing further the concept of Malta as a knowledge-based society.”
