In spite of indications that agreement was possible, the health division now seemed to have gone back on its word about the issue relating to nursing aides, health assistants, care workers and assistant care workers, the General Workers’ Union said yesterday.
At a meeting yesterday, it said, its request about compensation for extra time and other matters had been accepted, but the division was far from accepting the union’s request relating to a premium allowance.
These points formed the basis of agreement which has been the subject of negotiations for months.
The union said it was now calling a meeting for the employees to explain the issue in detail and decide what action should be taken.
