This event is being played regularly on Wednesday evenings at the Cottonera Sports Complex.

The careful grading of the participants, according to their standard of play, into eight separate divisions ?five for Singles and three for Doubles ?has ensured a level playing field that enhances the competition抯 overall interest and excitement.

Each fixture consists of only two sets of twenty-one points each, thereby giving rise to the possibility of a drawn result. One point is awarded for each set won.

In the second division, Tony Xuereb (Pawla Wolves Assikura) is presently leading the table with four points from his initial three matches, having obtained one win and two draws so far.

Samuel Cali and Martin Farrugia (both of B扠ara BC) share second place, with three points each.

Nine players are contesting the third division. To be played over a single round, this means that each participant will have to play eight fixtures.

Maria Borg (B扠ara BC) leads the table with eight points from the six matches played so far. She is still unbeaten, with two wins and four draws on her record.

Martin Camilleri (Pawla Wolves Assikura) follows her closely with seven points. He is similarly unbeaten, with three wins and a draw from the four matches played so far.

Albert Bezzina (B扠ara BC) lies in third place. He has six points to his credit, having won one and drawn four of his five fixtures; he still has to sustain his first defeat.

The rest of the table reads as follows: Alfred Polidano and Ivan Salomone (both of B扠ara BC) as well as Turkish player Soner Gunelli (Shuttles BC) have four points each.

Michael Bugeja and George Camilleri (both of Shuttles BC) as well as Fiorella Farrugia (B扠ara BC) have three points each.
