Cocktail Tasting and appreciation sessions

Malta Independent Wednesday, 13 February 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The management of The Palace Hotel recently hosted a cocktails tasting and appreciation session for all food and beverage supervisors and barmen, at both The Palace and Victoria Hotels. The aim was to review the variety of 39 cocktails available at the Talk of Town café, as well as to create new ones keeping in mind the patrons’ taste.

The cocktails presented at the tasting session included the Cuban classic Mojito, the Cosmopolitan, the Whiskey Sour and The Palace barman’s own creation The Sliema Pit Stop. During the session, The Palace’s bartenders also presented a unique Valentine’s Day cocktail called Ti Amo.

“This innovative cocktail, which will be served in a large and unusual glass to be shared by couples, will be launched on Valentine’s Day.

The Palace’s general manager, Claire Xuereb said that, “this tasting and appreciation session forms part of our commitment to offer our clients newly created drinks which will be available exclusively at Talk of Town. Enhanced as it is by a welcoming ambiance and sun-drenched terraces, this stylish café is already a favourite with a large number of patrons and, in providing a selection of innovative drinks we hope to create a new experience for our clients.”
